All About Injectable Fillers

As we age, our face begins to show the effects of gravity, sun exposure and years of facial muscle movement. The underlying tissues that keep our skin looking youthful and plumped up begin to loosen up, thus exaggerating our laugh lines, smile lines, or facial creases.

Soft-tissue fillers can help fill in these lines and creases, temporarily restoring a smoother, more youthful-looking appearance. When injected beneath the skin, these fillers plump up creased and sunken areas of the face. They can also add fullness to the lips and cheeks.

Sometimes, and depending on the problem, an additional intervention can be added to the plan of treatment for best results. Keep in mind that, at Dr Kayle Aesthetic Clinic, we can offer you the full options of the most advanced treatments ranging from cosmetic surgery, refinishing techniques, laser therapy, Anti-Wrinkle Treatment and fillers. You and your doctor can determine whether a single procedure or a combination of procedures is the best choice for you.

The most important fact to remember about injectable fillers is that the results are not permanent. We, at Dr Kayle Aesthetic Clinic, use and recommend hyaluronic acid fillers. Hyaluronic acid fillers last from 6 months to 1 year. We strongly advise against using permanent-type fillers anywhere in the face and body since they are associated with permanent complications.

The filler is injected using a fine needle inserted at the target area. You may be asked to hold a hand mirror during the procedure to share your doctor the decision as to when you’ve had enough.

After treatment: Occasionally some bruising or swelling will occur but it is usually minor.

You are free to eat, drink, and wear makeup with sunblock protection shortly thereafter.

You’ll be very satisfied with the results of your fillers treatments. You may be surprised at the pleasing results that can be gained from this procedure.
