What is a Face Lift?
As people age, the effects of gravity, exposure to the sun, smoking, and the stresses of daily life can be seen in their faces. A facelift “sets back the clock”, improving the most visible signs of aging by removing excess fat, tightening underlying muscles, and redraping the skin of your face and neck. A facelift can be done alone, or in conjunction with other procedures such as eyelid surgery. A facelift can make you look younger and fresher, and it will enhance your self- esteem.
The Surgery
Most facelifts are performed in a hospital under general anesthesia. Incisions depend on the case and patients leave the hospital within 24 to 48 hours. The effects of face lift are long lasting; years later, you’ll continue to look better.
